A preliminary study on climatic anomalies in East Asia and sea surface temperature in the North Pacific

Composite maps of precipitation in East Asia for the wet and dry summers, June + July, were compared respectively with the composite maps of SST for the same months and with those for the preceding December, January and February. Same approach was made for the warm and cold winters. Secular variations of these climatic anomalies in the six regions in East Asia are discussed in relation to SST in the Pacific. - (SGA)
