The AA. divide the 388 species of endangered plants recorded in the first volume of China Plant Red Data Book into 7 types : living fossils| ancient relics| species of only a small range| monospecific genus| the important element of the flora| the resources of the valuable germplasms| and potential germplasm resources, and then give a brief account on them.
