Description :
Three materials were used : loam, sandy loam and a heterogeneous material that included gravel. The inclination of the experimental layer was 12 degrees and subsurface water flow could be simulated. The importance of the processes was unequal down the slope and varied in relation to changes in drainage and temperature gradients. The maximum frost creep occurred in the loamy material at the lower end of the slope where the intensity of the water supply and heaving were greater. Frost creep was shown to be able to transform sorted polygons into sorted stripes along a slope.
